Risk and prediction of neonatal sepsis in the General Teaching Hospital "Dr. Agostinho Neto" Guantanamo

Abstract
An analytical study of case-control, retrospective and cross-sectional in newborns with neonatal sepsis was performed, comparing those who survived with those who died during the year 2014, in order to identify risk factors associated with neonatal sepsis the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the General Teaching Hospital "Dr. Agostinho Neto ". The universe was composed of 15 infants diagnosed with sepsis. They were considered as cases septic newborns died and control the Neonatal sepsis. Respiratory distress and vasomotor disorders were the most important clinical and epidemiological variables in risk factors. The elevation of blood glucose was the most significant in laboratory variables were studied.
