A look back at the ELAM at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Guantánamo

Abstract
The point of views of a sample of foreign students and decentralized members of the first group of the Latin American School of Medicine at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Guantánamo in relation to its inclusion in the same were described during the 2003-2004 school years. They were obtained from the application of a survey validated by experts at the group and individual levels that included feedback questionnaires to former students, and interviews with teachers and administrators to measure their satisfaction with the process of integration. The strengthening of mechanisms facilitate the insertion on mechanisms-adaptation of foreign students as a mean indispensable to the fulfillment of the objectives of the process of formation.
