Abstract
This research is part of the development of one of the tasks of a thesis that is developed at the University of Medical Sciences Guantanamo; it aims to expose the theoretical philosophical references, and educational psychology that teachers can be supported to design the course Military Defense II, which has variation in 100 % of its contents. It is part of weaknesses identified in the current program. From these considerations how to improve the teaching-learning process in this subject in the 4th year of the medical career? To achieve the above should analyze existing theories that are correlated with changes promoted in the curriculum D which seeks the reduction of classroom activity classes of students, focusing on their self-learning and where the subjects should show a higher level of essentiality.
