Abstract
A literature review is made to contribute to the development of teaching materials centered in the students so that they have complementary bibliographic media, accessible information as current as possible about such controversial issues as the handling of the truth and their relationship with honesty in contemporary medical practice. These reflections about medical contextualization of truth, view this issue from an interdisciplinary perspective and from the current criteria, as pursuing the aim of contributing to the cognitive and ethical development of health professionals in training and performance.
