Abstract
This article is intended to bring more education professionals closer to the families of their students with special educational needs. It is intended to learn about their needs, how they feel, what they may think, how parents can work with them in the learning-teaching process of their children ... in order that their participation is full and families become an essential part in the school. This is a big challenge for everyone, as it requires an effort from both institutions: families and school. It should be always borne in mind that the key is the development of children in all areas to grow happily in the most enabling environment. For this reason cooperation, collaboration and communication between family and school is required. All professionals (teachers, social workers, doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists, educational psychologists, support instructors, etc.) who work together with pupils with functional diversity should aim to a single goal: to improve their practice in the learning-teaching process and therefore their quality of life and their families.
