Abstract

The change of ownership and management, the elimination of large farms had a negative impact on the production of marketable milk and dairy products. Under these conditions, in the structure of production, the share of personal subsidiary farms (PF) of the population significantly increases, which practically have little effect on the volume of production of marketable products. Due to their small size, farms do not meet the population’s need for animal protein and, despite some increase in milk production, there is a shortage in virtually all regions. To a large extent, such a state is provoked by the disparity in purchasing prices — milk production has become unprofitable, since the cost of production exceeds the selling price. The paper provides analytical material from which the cost of milk is based on the LLC “RIAL-Agro”, one of the largest specialized farms of the republic for the production of milk and the influence of genetic factors on these indicators.
