TANZİMAT’TAN SONRA OSMANLI’DA İHTİDA OLAYLARINA GAYR-İ MÜSLİMLERİN TEPKİSİ: İŞKENCE VE ZULÜMLER

Human being generally selects the religion of its birth place. However this selection is not conscious. Also a person wants to live with his independent mind and to select a religion. This manner is certainly a person’s right when appreciated in terms of human rights. In spite of this, selecting a religion issue has been caused cruelty and oppression during years. But when taking a short survey through world history, it can be seen some golden ages with religion freedom. For example, Ottoman Age is one of the rare ages. Ottoman Empire had behaved gratifying to non-Muslims and to people those were not a member of Turkish nation. In this study, the cruelty and oppression enforced to nonMuslims which was a violation of human rights and freedom investigated according to archive documents during the states collapsing period.
