Abstract
The analysis of heritability estimate of cotton fiber output and length at geographically distant F2 hybrid flocks is provided in this article. It is shown that the efficiency of selection on cotton fiber output and length depends on specific features of the crossed genotypes. It is established that for obtaining of cotton hybrid flocks with high fiber output and length it is necessary to pay special attention to geographical distance and genealogy of the crossed types.
