Abstract

Thermochemical and thermal engineering data for oxidation-chlorinating roasting of rough concentrates have been obtained, which are of direct technological and economic importance, since they can serve as a basis for choosing the type of the most energy-efficient furnace. As a result of the studies, it was established that when the copper and iron sulfides are completely chlorinated and full oxidation (more than 50 %) of the formed sodium sulphide to sulfate, the process can be realized autogenously in a mine-type furnace.
