Abstract
The paper considers the regularities of the interaction of phraseological units and the linguistic context in modern German. The establishment of the intra contextual elements actualizing the semantic maintenance and stylistic functions of phraseological units became the purpose of the work. The results of the study allowed to identify the main ways of the context actualization of phraseological units, applicable to the analysis of lexical units in a broad sense.
