Abstract
One of the goals of modern educational system is the formation of a person who is able to actively acquire skills, make objective decisions and realize himself in any creative process. The use of the modern information technologies in various fields of science and education is a promising direction of the present, which requires the student to perceive a large amount of information, the ability to analyze and further use the acquired knowledge in practice. The continuity of the training system of scientific medical personnel in the modern conditions of evidence-based medicine takes place in three stages: pre-degree education; training of scientific staff; training of professional doctors. The main objective of the international project MUMEENA is to improve the quality of the research skills formation as part of the professional training of students and the development of the scientific potential of future specialists. In particular, Internal Medicine of Stomatological Department introduces the teaching of the students to the methodology of the scientific activity for the formation of their medical skills for conducting scientific research. To do this, within the framework of the MUMEENA project on the practical classes, the students of the 3rd year consider the following issues: "Strategy for the search of information for scientific research"; "Formulation of the purpose and objectives of scientific research"; 4th year students - "Collection and analysis of patient survey data"; "Summarizing the results of scientific research". At practical classes, attention is focused on the most complex, interesting and important topics. Students can work both individually and in small groups, in pairs. Practical classes take place using such interactive technologies as projects, imitation, simulation, etc. Preparation of the scientific staff at the department is conducted with clinical residents; preparation of professional doctors with graduate students. Work programs, thematic plans, plan of the student's scientific circle, which reflects the task of teaching research skills, were created. The development of a research project includes: problem definition, literature review, hypothesis formulation, development of research protocol, data collection, analysis and interpretation of data, publication and presentation of the results. Student's results of the research were covered at regional and national scientific and practical conferences of the students and young scientists. Thus, in its activity, the department aims to improve the quality of skills of research work as a component of the students' professional training and the development of scientific potential of future specialists. The results of their research studies were highlighted by students at the regional and national scientific and practical conferences of students and young scientists. The implementation of the MUMEENA project in the pedagogical process is the first link in transforming a regular student into an erudite specialist doctor, an inquisitive scientist. The development of the research projects by students and young scientists forms and develops the clinical thinking of future physicians, gives a holistic scientific knowledge, teaches to synthesize and analyze the received information.
