Abstract
Microgrids have been enormously helpful to meet the energy demand from the domestic as well as industrial sides. Large wind farms producing a particular amount of electric power and supplies it to the local loads and to the interconnected grid as well. Various methods have been introduced to control the inconsistency of the power generated in the wind farm. Optimal power flow techniques have been proven to reduce the number of controls that would have been implied if those techniques weren't applied. This paper introduces the application of Newton Raphson and Dynamic Programming methods and justifies which of these are practically more feasible for microgrid application of Optimal power flow.
