Abstract
This research aim to investigate the free chlorine concentration in different locations in Kufa University `campus water distribution network due to its importance and the large number of collages inside the campus in addition to the residential neighborhood of the university's teachers. Six locations has been chosen in a different places of the university campus and the study longs for two months, the collected samples were collected and tested at the morning for the first month and at the evening for the second month. the tested that carried out for all sample was (free chlorine concentration, PH, electrical conductivity, turbidity, temperature) it founds that the free chlorine concentration level was harmonic and irregular, the lowest value was 0.2 mg/l and the highest was 2.5 mg/l, while all other parameters where within the national standards of drinking water.
