Abstract
The conventional materials are found to be replaced by composites in a majority of applications. Due to their high specific strength, stiffness, better fatigue life, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The tailored properties of laminated composite throw a significant challenge in deriving optimal design solutions. The flexural fatigue failure is common in rotating and cyclic loading components such as wind turbine rotors, leaf springs, and airplane wing structures. This study focuses on critical analysis of various properties by experimental test results to understand the influence of frequency on the fatigue failure behavior due to cyclic flexing loads on the composite laminates. This research was found to develop Experimental Procedure for loading criteria in flexural fatigue analysis of composite laminate. Several tests including tensile test and its significance in the performance of flexural fatigue were evaluated experimentally.
