This article clearly explains industries contribution to societal development in our India; Steel and industrial forgings limited is been contributing their efforts since 1990's, not only SIFL remaining industries also contributing major role to develop the society as a corporate citizen, previously CSR was a voluntary initiative after 2014 it became a mandatory to domestic companies and foreign companies. CSR Policy, Rules 2014 made drastic changes in CSR activities and Rule 4(5) of CSR Policy, Rules 2014 refers what activities will come under CSR & what should not include. India has taken a revolutionary transformation in social responsibility issue. You can find this in every industry like service, manufacturing, agriculture, and others.
