Abstract
In this paper we have reviewed Hybrid Photonic crystal fibers with different infiltration materials. The infiltration of materials in micrometer sized air gap in solid core and hallow core PCFs have opened PCFs with flexible properties suitable for novel application in the field of optoelectronics, material and laser science, remote sensing and spectroscopy. Here recent progress of Hybrid PCFs is reviewed focusing on how infiltration of different solids, fluids and gases can significantly affect the functional properties of PCFs. Several Hybrid photonic crystal fibers have been reported until the date, more Hybrid photonic crystals are to be developed due to their remarkable characteristics.
