Abstract

Currently, one of the areas in creating highly efficient adsorbent materials is modification of classical adsorbents. This allows obtaining a material with new characteristics or properties, including: increased sorption capacity, increased specific surface, improved selectivity, etc. Industrial adsorbents should meet the following requirements: they should have significant sorptive capacity and high mechanical strength, high selectivity, regeneration ability and stability of sorptive properties in the conditions of prolonged usage, be non-toxic and non-corrosive-active, and have low cost. The process of modifying adsorbents contributes to expanding their scope of application and to improving selectivity. These studies have convincingly shown the promising nature of using the silica clay-based adsorbents modified with carbon nanomaterials
