Abstract
ABRASIVE JET MACHINE (AJM) is the material removal process with the help of high-speed abrasives mixed with the gas/air medium and blown through a nozzle. This material removal process is mainly caused due to the brittle fracture by impingement and then by erosion. The AJM is mainly used to cut and, drill holes into brittle materials like glass, ceramics components and even ductile materials like aluminum. Its an eco-friendly and an inexpensive process with higher material removal rate (MRR). In every machining process the quality of work depends on various machining parameters. The process parameters which mainly affect the quality of cutting in AJM are pressure, speed, standoff distance, abrasive flow rate, type of abrasive, etc., These parameters show the impact over the material removal rate (MRR), surface roughness(SR), depth of cut, nozzle wear. Various advanced approaches are applied to optimize these process parameters to improve and enhance the performance factors
