Abstract
Aluminum 6061 alloy is very widely used alloy which is used in various industrial applications, transportation, automobile, aerospace industries. This paper focuses on enhancing the mechanical properties and micro structural evolution of subsequent cold rolled aluminum 6061 along the length for various thickness reduction 02%, 04%, 06% and 08% and finally it wears out. In this we have performed optical microscopy, tensile test and Hardness test. After cold rolling the strength and hardness of material is increased, thus we have compared the initial sample with each cold rolled sample to obtain the result of how much the strength and hardness is improved. The test result shows the change in microstructure from coarse to fine, improved hardness and tensile strength after each reduction ratio.
