Abstract
Diffusers are the component involving with the conversion of kinetic energy into potential energy observed at the outlet. The detailed study carried out is to compare the diffuser CFD performance for two distinct divergent angled diffusers to determine the pressure outcome. The model is created in CAD software solid edge, the change in the angle of the diffuser and the geometrical aspects as made during this stage. The meshing criteria are different for the distinct diffuser and it is made of type 1 and type 2, there afterward in the preprocessing stage, the initial and final conditions are applied. The working fluid employed is refrigerant R-134a. The result gained by the study is the pressure output at the diffuser outlet. The values of pressure plotted in graphs and CFD pressure plots. The selection decisive factor is based on the incremental values of the pressure values with respect to the type of meshing taken along.
