Abstract
Digital image processing is one of emerging active interdisciplinary research field. The applications are spread in to different fields of science and technology include remote sensing, image and data storage for transmission, medical imaging, acoustic imaging, Forensic sciences, industrial automation computer vision and forecasting, mechatronics etc. Hardware implementation of these concepts plays a vital role in real time applications with high performance. Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary field which uses image processing concepts to provide unique solutions for different engineering and societal problems. In this paper presents different hardware implementation solutions for image processing mechatronics applications are studied and compared in real time application specific context.
