ESTIMATING ADULTERATION OF PETROL WITH KEROSENE USING MICROWAVE TRANSMISSION WITH HORN ANTENNA

Abstract
In the petroleum bunks the kerosene has been added for its increasing quantity .By the added content the vehicles engine unable to perform perfectly, and life time of the engine has been reduced. Also because of adulteration air pollution also increases. So it it necessary to find out the adulatory of petrol. Here we use micro wave for testing the kerosene content in petrol. The microwave transmission line approach with horn antenna is introduced as an effective method for the assessment of petrol for the first time. The permittivity of kerosene and petrol makes the variation in the output received singles. We use horn antenna transmitter and receiver in microwave frequency .The microwave travelled via the petrol according to its adulatory. If the petrol quality varies the output power varies. Design of horn antenna and its minimum distance transmission length is followed to evaluate the thickness of petrol. The dissipated power is measured with the help of VSWR meter in decibel. The results are plotted with microwave frequency and unique wave length with different concentration of petrol kerosene with kerosene.
