APPLICATION OF CONSUMER PROTECTION LAW IN UCOK DURIAN STORE IN MEDAN, INDONESIA

One of most popular stores of durian in Indonesia is Ucok Durian in Medan belonging to Zainal Abidin or familiarly called Ucok. This study aims to examine the concept offered by the store to customers Ucok Durian and its relationship with the application of Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection. In order to collect data for this study, the authors use a method socio-juridical research method which is to see the realities that exist in the field by doing research in the field at the convenience store of Ucok Durian Medan that is located at Jalan KH Wahid Hasyim No. 30-32 Medan. The results of this research and observations show that the concept of excellent service, which carried by a durian Ucok Stores is in accordance eith the implementation of Law No 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection.
