VINTE E UM ANOS DA LEI 9.455/97: REFLEXÕES SOBRE O CRIME DE TORTURA NO BRASIL

Past 21 years of the edition of the “Torture Law” in Brazil, the current work widely discuss the legal issues implied in the crime of torture, in its many ways, under the Brazilian laws, pointing out which are the Brazilian criminal laws applicable, discussing the flaws of the Brazilian main Law on torture and the reasons for its existence, debating also the challenges faced during the criminal process of this sort of crime, and finally, this work promotes a valid discussion about the criminal policies adopted by the Federal State, and how it has contributed to the failure in preventing and repressing torture
