REUNDERSTANDING CONCEPT OF ISFAHAN TRADITIONAL HOUSES GENOTYPE USING SPACE SYNTAX TECHNIQUE

New mathematics has changed the face and the content of contemporary art and architecture as we it could be told as new language of design. Space syntax as a mathematical tool is one of the most dominant applications in recent decades. One of the most crucial issues in state of the art of the research refers to the capability of mathematical applications to express concept of art or artifacts. This paper aims to analyze competence of space syntax as a way to determine genotype of architectural concept. Isfahan traditional househas selected as case study to show capabilities of space syntax to explain genotype of architectural design process. In other hand, the purpose of this essay is to find a way to explain genotype of an architectural building space syntax as tool and as way of thinking. The results of the paper show that space syntax enjoys enough capability to explain genotype of traditional houses of Isfahan. It might be concluded that space syntax might be adopted as an application to show genotype of an architectural object.
