Abstract
The main advantage of aluminium matrix composites is that the characteristics of the material can be varied to reach our requirements for a specific application. The elements of which considerably affect the properties of the composites are the size and reinforcement percentage. This paper discusses the experimental analysis done on the influence of reinforcement percentage on Al6061/TiC matrix composite. The microstructural, the mechanical behaviour of the composite are examined. Composites are manufactured by stir casting technique and microstructure results are performed to confirm evenness of reinforcement dispersion in the matrix alloy. The outcomes are examined for different conditions of reinforcement.
