Abstract
The aim of this project to develop the plastic gear experimental setup for heavy duty applications. Earlier Plastic gears suitable for the ability transmission has been doubted thanks to their low load carrying capability and low life time, however recently they need started substitution metal counter components, due to newer plastic material designers. Plastic gears have sensible qualities like self lubrication, density, corrosion resistance and sleek running besides its lower strength. during this system, every style issue like strength, durability, interference, contact magnitude relation, etc. is taken into account on the premise of AGMA standards to satisfy the desired style specification. Plastic gear material strengthening are done by selective reinforcements of metal powder. On the opposite hand Plastic gear profile changed with the reference of AGMA 920–A01 are take into account for any improvement. The materials thought of ar Glass stuffed Poly gas Terephthalate (GF PBT), Glass stuffed Nylon 6/6(GF PA6/6), Glass stuffed Poly Phenylene chemical compound (GF PPS) and Glass stuffed liquid chemical compound (GF LCP) are most typical gear plastics. Glass-filled PBT and nylon 6/6 to regarding 170°C, polyphenylene chemical compound (PPS) and liquid chemical compound to regarding 220°C. Some serious duty applications thought of are sugarcane crushing machine, shaping machine and pump. within the project low speed serious duty single train plastic gear are thought of The gear try are factory-made and tested. The failure knowledge are thought of for style improvemen
