Abstract

Contemporary economic and engineering studies tend to focus on applying multicriteria (multi-criteria) decision makers as policy makers continue to face a range of increasingly complex management policy issues. One of the analytical tools that can provide further knowledge, for multi-purpose problems, is known as the "goal program" (GP). Goal Programming (GP) is an important class of widely-used decision-making models to analyze and solve applied problems involving conflicting goals. Multiple, contradictory and qualitative goals of managerial and engineering performance require the use of multi-criteria decision-making. The paper discusses a sustainable example for use in the field of management sciences. Specifically, we discuss this example to make decisions to participate in a "pilot project" for the replacement of radiators from the two basic maintenance units of the "Mounting" Unit and the Maintenance Unit that can temporarily transfer staff to help within District Heating "TERMOKOS" which in disposal they have a limited number of workers. Termokos can hire temporary staff from local Aterm, for temporary assistance, which is specialized in technical support on radiator replacement. Therefore, finding a compromise solution in the engagement of some staff for help from the Maintenance and Alterm unit is required to gain an effective goal-setting solution. The analysis will be done using the programming of goals with the help of PHPSimplex and Excel
