Abstract
The article is devoted to the research of the concept “music” in language consciousness of Sakha and English people using the example of stimulus words “harmony” and “song”. Much attention is given to how English and Sakha people perceive the concept “music” through the stimulus words “harmony” and “song”. The methods of associative and receptive experiment are used in order to reveal language consciousness of English and Sakha people. The results of the research show that English and Sakha people's language consciousness differs. This research gives us detail information that helps to understand how English and Sakha people repre- sent the concept “music” with the help of their native languages
