Abstract
The present work focuses on behavior of bottling of Biogas (Methane) as it is first of its kind in India. Biogas is produced from all organic wet waste, kitchen waste and hotel waste collected from some part of the Bangalore city. Daily average 30 tons waste is feed in to the digester. Biogas is produced from anaerobic digestion of waste, which results in production of numerous gases that can be burnt to produce energy. Daily average 2700 m3 gas is produced. When gas is produced it is in normal atmospheric pressure, then it goes under purification where all unwanted contents is to be removed, like moisture, carbon and hydrogen sulphide. This obtained gas is filled in the cascade at high pressure up to 170 bars. A cascade is a frame to hold the gas filled cylinder. Cascade contains two cylinders, manifold, pressure gauge and copper tubing. Filled gas is supplied at 170bars pressure through the tubing to PRS. Tube sustains 170 bars pressure. The main aim of this work is to modify the existing cascade, to change the manifold and frame size of the cascade. In manifold, copper tube is replaced by SS tube of 0.5mm thickness, which reduces the cost with no operational and installation cost. The study of raw biogas purification system is illustrated in the detailed ways.
