Abstract
Supply chain management is an important driver for efficient operations of an organized retail sector and it provides maximum values to customers and helps to gain a competitive advantage in a highly competitive retail market environment. An organized retail sector in India is considered as a highly dynamic and fast growing sector, driven by urbanization, growth of economy, increasing disposable income, life style changes and desire of customers of retail sector. The findings show that there is significant difference between profile of organized retail stores and supply chain management practices. The strategic supplier partnering, internal lean practice, information sharing and information quality are positively and significantly influencing product quality of organized retail stores. The customer relationship management, strategic supplier partnering, information quality, information sharing and internal lean practice are positively and significantly influencing performance of organized retail stores. Thus, an efficient adoption of supply chain management practices improves quality of products and performance of organized retail stores
