Abstract
The paper pursuits to improve the technique of measuring efficiency of 10 private banks in Hyderabad. Efficiency scores have been calculated with the assistance of non-parametric frontier method i.e. Data Envelopment Analysis. This method is applied due to its flexibility to operate with multiple inputs and more than one output with absolutely no underlying assumption on the functional form. The performance is based on the parameter of technical efficiency and returns to scale for 7 inputs and 6 outputs of 10 private banks. The research outcomes present preferred indications about the selection of inputs and outputs for DEA application and technical efficiency of private banks in Hyderabad.
