Abstract
Library and Information Centres from an ordinary individual point of view are only books for reading purpose. But, to any academician, they refer to many other areas which include library resources, library services and library amenities. Further, the progress of ‘Digitalization' into the academic sphere also brings dynamic changes and the institutes of higher learning find it difficult to meet the pace of it. The present study makes an attempt to examine how academic libraries are able to meet the needs of the students' users against the changing scenario. In this paper the author focussed much on the satisfaction levels expressed by the students towards the functioning of a ‘Library' selected for the purpose. Though the satisfaction levels are high in most of the areas, there is still more to be done by the Institutions to establish a brand of their own in the level playing field.
