Abstract
Relevance of need of updating organization and control of knowledge quality in the process of education is reflected in article. The traditional ways of assessment existing in the education system, need systematic addition with objective methods. The technique of pedagogical diagnostics demands scientific justification. Proceeding from it, on the one hand, it isn't necessary to reduce pedagogical diagnostics to simple testing, and on the other hand, without reasonable use of informative tests it is impossible to achieve significant improvement in our estimated practice.
