Abstract
The historical circumstances of the repressions against orthodox hierarchs, clerics and believers on the territory of Bakhmut region still remains one of the less investigated pages of the ukrainian local church history. Despite the fact that problem of Ukrainian church history of interwar period and period nazi ocupation had been studied by many researchers, it exist a large number of questions that requires its proper elaboration. Nowadays on the basis of unknown earlier material it‘s possible to expand the common picture of said events. That‘s why the main purpose of the article is to figure out the scale and consequences of repressions on the territory of Bakhmut region during the first decades of the soviet authority in Ukraine. The originality of the article composed by an attempt to research the events of Donbas church history events without traditional historical clichй‘s, because in this case it should consider all the trends of that time ukrainian cleric‘s life. In the article we compared the biographies of Orthodox hierarchs, clerics and believers from the certain east-ukrainian region. All they prove that despite the attempts of some bishops and clerics to show the loyalty to atheistic government they could become the potentional enemy for totalitarian authority. At the same time in our strong opinion the atheistic regime couldn‘t destroy the common legal institute of Orthodox Church all over the Soviet Union and the next time Orthodox Church restored its place in the human‘s world outlook system. In conclusion it‘s worth to sign that nowadays the researching of Donbass church history of interwar period and period nazi ocupation is complicated by the difficult politic situation in the region. Unfortunately the material of Lugansk and Donetsk state archives are unavailable for Ukrainian researches, but gradual actualization of this problem makes the strong prospects of its future fast research.
