Abstract

Aim. The aim of the study was to analyze the age dynamics of the need for outpatient medical care for malignant and benign tumors in men. Materials and Methods. The data on the causes of appeals of 360 000 male patients within one year to medical organizations providing outpatient medical care regardless of the organizational form and departmental affiliation were used. The probability of circulation and dynamics of frequency of appeals depending on the age in 6 five-year age groups were studied: 30-35 years, 36-40 years, 41-45 years, 46-50 years, 51-55 years, 56-60 years. The dynamics of the frequency of calls was modeled by a mathematical function with the largest value of the approximation coefficient. Results. The need for outpatient medical care for malignant neoplasms of the digestive and respiratory organs has a similar age dynamics, but the intensive increase in the need for malignant neoplasms of the respiratory organs and the chest continues for a longer time. In older age groups, the increase in demand has been slower, but remains high. The dynamics of the intensity of outpatient visits, visits and days of outpatient treatment for benign tumors of the respiratory system and the chest is extremely difficult to describe any mathematical function with a sufficient level of accuracy. A common feature of all the described curves is the increasing nature of the function, which after smoothing can be used as a mathematical model of the need for outpatient medical care for tumors of the urinary system. Conclusion. Malignant neoplasms in men with the highest rate of increase in demand and determining the volume of outpatient medical care for malignant neoplasms (malignant neoplasms of the urinary tract (C64-C68); malignant neoplasms of the respiratory system (C30-C39) and malignant neoplasms of the digestive system (C15-C26), have almost the same age dynamics. As a rule, they are characterized by two phases: the first – the phase of intensive growth of demand in younger age groups and the second – the phase of slowing the growth of demand, but maintaining high levels of demand achieved. The need for outpatient medical care for benign tumors of the main localization in men increases with age, but the most significant growth rate of the need is observed in the middle age groups (36-45 years).
