Abstract

Abstract. This article referred to the issues of healthy lifestyle and habits promotion among 4th grade student of healing, dentistry and preventive health faculties. These issues were studied using an example of certain ENT diseases prevention. The article shows possible negative effects of some factors such as HIV-infection, tobacco smoking, using nasal congestion solution drops for a long period of time, habits of using headphones with high volume level for a longperiod daily on the body. Our students were asked to answer some related to course question, such as: if they are smoking, how many cigarettes per day, if they are using headphones, how many hours per day, if they are using nasal congestion solution drops for more than one week. This survey was conducted twice before the course started and after the course was completed. A total 82 people were surveyed. The findings were as follows: 27 students (33%) were smoking before the course started but only 23 (28%) remain smoking after course completion. 4 students quit smoking at all, and 18 students among 23 decreased cigarettes amount per day as they are going to quit. 5 over all haven't changed they position 14 of the people interviewed (17%), who didn't know that prolonged noise has a harmful impact on the organum spirale, admit to music listening in headphones for several hours every day. After the ENT course completion all interviewed students reduced their daily duration of use of headphones to 1-2h per day compared to 3-5h per day before course started. 3 students (4%) said that they were using nasal congestion solution drops for more than one week. Medical treatment was required for 2 of these people, and 1 person was able to avoid using nasal drops completely.
