Abstract
The article deals with the problem of sustainable development of rural areas on the basis of the allocation of micro-regions within the boundaries of administrative districts and rural areas, which have a high investment attractiveness, called innovation-active territories (hereinafter IAT). The object of research is the pasture lands of Kazakhstan.
