Abstract
The Mobile ad-hoc network is collection of mobile nodes consists of both receiver and transmitter which helps in communication with each other via bidirectional wireless links either directly or indirectly. The mobile nodes can move around the network in free manner. Hence any node can access any link between any nodes, this nature of open medium attracts the malicious users. Once malicious nodes compromise themselves with the link, then they can access the transmission passing through the link. We propose and implement a new intrusion detection mechanism named Enhanced Adaptive Acknowledgment (EAACK) to mitigate the malicious users from the network specially designed for MANET and compared to all contemporary approaches. The results will be better performances against WATCHDOG, TWOACK and AACK schemes in the cases of receiver collision, limited transmission power and false misbehavior report.
