Abstract
In the article, based on the analysis of the problem of motivation in psychology, the approaches to the definition of the personality motivational sphere are analyzed, the peculiarities of the formation of the motivational sphere of training of adolescents are considered, the connection of motivation with the cognitive needs of the individual and various types of activity is shown, as well as its influence on the efficiency of knowledge development.
