Abstract
The Concept Of Er Beşer Er In The Qur'an
The word “beşer”, which is Arabic, has different meanings such as “human being, creature, human body, and outer layer of human skin” and the word general-ly is associated with the concept of human being. In the Holy Quran, the concept of human being is explained with different words such as “beşer, human, humankind, and halife”. In this study, semantic analysis of the concept of “beşer” was carried out along with the investigation that if the related meanings of the word “beşer” has different usages and meanings in the Holy Quran. It was found that the aforemen-tioned meanings of the word “beşer” in the Holy Quran are not the same things and they do not mean the same things, although they look like they can be used inter-changeably. On the other hand, it was also investigated that the word “beşer” has directly or indirectly semantic connection with its varieties that are used in the Holy Quran and elsewhere.
