Abstract
The Perceptions of Imam Hatip High School Students about Competen-cies of Vocational Course Teachers
In this research it is aimed to examine the perceptions of Imam Hatip High School (IHL) students about competencies of vocational course teachers. The study was designed based on a baseline descriptive survey and comparative associative models. Some provinces which used to the first level classification of Turkey's re-gions of TUIK (Turkish Statistical Institute) were selected as sample cases in the sur-vey. The sample of the research comprised 3775 students in 26 Imam Hatip High Schools in the 2015-2016 academic year. The data were collected using “The Percep-tion of IHL Students About Competencies of Vocational Course Teachers Scale” orig-inally developed by researcher. The data was analyzed using SPSS 22.0. In the inter-pretation of the data were analyzed using mean scores, standard deviation, t-test, and variance analysis (ANOVA) methods. As a result of the research, it was deter-mined that the perceptions of IHL students about competencies of vocational course teachers is medium-level sufficient (X=3,21). The results also indicated that variables such as class level, province, the receive status of religious education in the out-of-school and university preference made a significant difference in the perceptions of IHL students.
