Abstract
Women’s movement in the Ukrainian lands divided between two empires was a logical continuation of the Ukrainians’ struggle for their freedom in general. Due to the special treatment of a woman, the remains of which were preserved in Ukrainian intelligent families, Borys and Mariia Grinchenko not only theoretically interpreted the “women’s issue” but also brought up their only daughter Anastasiia this way. In future Anastasiia Grinchenko stood at the forefront of the universal struggle for the respect of a human as is and creation of a new society based on the social partnership.
