Abstract
This article discusses the semantic features of the elements expressed by the infinitive and participle in the position of the predicate in the structure of two-part verbal sentences of the English and Russian languages. Also, syntactic units in the position of a predicative component with signs of process expression and actionality, analysis of syntactic links and components of two-part verb-prefixes.
