Abstract

In the article, the author talks about the introduction of a new credit system of education in Uzbekistan. About an important step in the ongoing system of innovations – the introduction of a credit system of teaching for training in the field of information technologies and communications from the 2018-2019 academic years in order to ensure that the university is one of the most prestigious universities in the world. It also touches upon the history of the credit-hour system, or, as it is also called, the system of “credit hours”, which originated and received the greatest development in the United States and other European countries. The fact that despite the obvious differences, the credit systems of education in different countries are easily combined, and the documents obtained after the training are recognized in all universities that use such educational programs. The credit education system increases the mobility of students, since the credits obtained at one university are counted in another, and students can transfer from one university to another without losing credit units; this practice also makes possible a link between interrupted and restored learning. The author informs about the expected results of the implementation of the credit education system in the Samarkand branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi and its branches, which will significantly improve the quality of training of IT-specialists in Uzbekistan
