Abstract

Carcinoid tumor are commonly detected in respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts. Primary renal carcinoid tumor is extremely rare. The clinical manifestations of renal carcinoid are often nonspecific, or asymptomatic. They are often well- differentiated rare tumors with an indolent course treated with nephrectomy with excellent prognosis. They often pose diagnostic dilemmas because of their rarity, minimal awareness about them, and also because of similar presentation with other renal tumors. We report a case of primary renal carcinoid of renal pelvis in a 62 year old gentleman.
