ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT STAGE OF TURKEY'S GRAPHIC ART

The article gives information about the stages of development of graphic arts in Turkey. As a result of the adoption of the new constitution, the free sense manner began to appear in the graphic as well as in all areas of art. Graphic art was first shown in announcements of the press. İn these announcements have been used Arabic letters together with Latin script for the same time. Posters, made by graphic design are found in the early years of the Republic. Ihap Hulusi, Munih Fehim, Kenan Temizan, Ramiz Gokche, Atif Tuna were well-known artists of this time. Especially, Ihap Hulusi revealed the renewed face of the Republic of Turkey with his graphic works. Development of graphic arts in Turkey, mainly in Istanbul, began with the establishment of Maktep-i Nafisa, the first art school in Turkey in the nineteenth century. Leopold Levin, who was brought from Paris to the head of drawing department after 1930 years, had created an engraving studio, many of today's most famous engraving artists came out of this workshop. Looking at the evolution of the history of Turkish graphic art, it has been determined that this art, which developed since the early 19th century, has gained even greater success over time
