Rehabilitative challenges of a Paraplegic transfemoral amputee with unilateral hand crush injury - A case report

Abstract
Abstract : Spinal cord injury itself impart a patient with many functional limitations and complications. An associated unilateral lower limb amputation and upper limb hand deformity due to poly trauma can make the condition even worse. This case report describes the various complications in a young patient with L1 ASIA A paraplegia with right transfemoral amputation and left hand crush injury and pelvic fracture. After the course of rehabilitation, patient was almost independent in his prosthetic ambulation, bowel, bladder management and activities of daily living including wheel chair basic function skills.
