Abstract

Crowdsourcing has been studied for more than 10 years, but no alternative business models for its application have been developed up to date. The development of the technological stages of the Web leads to empowering the crowds with the opportunities for participation, influence, and change. The Web is the place where the interests of audiences (in the terminology of crowdsourcing – crowds) and organizations meet. This article presents the idea of a matrix, by means of which could be assessed the need and the ability of organizations to use crowdsourcing when performing tasks.
