Translation of English somatic phraseological units into Uzbek

The article demonstrates translation as a special type of speech activity is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon, various aspects of which attract the attention of literary critics, psychologists and linguists at the present time. The peculiarity of the bilingual communicative act is, first of all, that in addition to the sender and the recipient, participants in any communication process, there is an interpreter who, acting alternately in the role of the recipient, then the role of the sender, the original message to the foreign language recipient. The speech activity of a translator, consisting of two elements — analysis and synthesis, is the focus of the linguistic theory of translation.
